This game is very similar to the previous SFII but this game includes some nice extras. This is the real deal from the SFII series and some nice moves have been added and a few more characters which makes this game even more fun than before. Capcom added some more stuff to this game which they did not do with the other SFII games. They made this game quite a hit tough nothing special is improved. The game includes story lines for each character which you can see when you finish the game, that's why players keep on playing until they watched all the ending movies and that's one of the main reasons why this game is so addicting. Right, on with the general stuff:

Graphics:
Some improved graphics comparing to the SFII series. The special attacks gives some nice graphical action, for example take Ryu's special attack. A lot of fireballs which causes the enemy to burn, a party to the eye to watch. Everything is really nice drawn and there are cool backgrounds which gives a great impression of where you are. The backgrounds are even animated pictures which move which drags you in the game, it's an awesome experience. The general eye candy is just really colorful and looks cool. On every character the shading is detailed, the general character is detailed, though some more work could be done at the smoothness of the frames, it still runs a bit rusty and not any setting could really justify this, which is a bad thing, but still the graphics are a real PRO in this game and a good thing to watch.

Gameplay:
On this detail is really nothing improved than in previous SFII games. Anyway, I shall put this into detail. The gameplay is very good and smooth. Fast movements, you can beat up your enemies or blast them away with a special attack. Too bad the speed you have to put in for the special attacks is nearly impossible before you get beaten up, but hey, that's the fun of the game and it adds a challenge. Some characters have nice extra stuff.

Take Vega for example, he can climb in his world in the fence and attack from there. But then the other player can break his claw and leave him to fight with his bare hands. Every character has its own close range attack. For example Zangief (the wrestler), he can squeeze you to death which is fun to watch but I'm sure a lot of players didn't like this when they were not on the winning side. The controls are easy and are simple to learn, you can do a lot with just a few buttons. Before you know you master a few styles which could get you high up to the top and in the end let you beat the entire game without serious trouble. Sometimes, when you play the story mode, at the end comes Akuma. He's really tough to beat but it's a nice extra. When a character wins, he/she also makes a nice victory 'dance' which is pretty cool.

Music:
Okay. The music is rather catchy and the effects of the special attacks are nice to hear. Nothing special tough so this is everything I have to say about this aspect.

Overall:
Good game and one of my favorite Abandonware games. This game may not be forgotten because this is such a great game. The graphics contain lots of eye candies and the gameplay is very addictive. If you are looking for a cool fighting game, you're looking for Super Street Fighter II Turbo and when you're looking for another kind of fighting game I want to suggest you to have a look at the Mortal Kombat series or One Must Fall 2097.
