Hey, who remembers this guy? Urm.. worm! I do, he used to have a TV series that I watched every now and then, it wasn't anything great but used to be funny sometimes. In the case of this game, I'd say the same.

The graphics in this game are quite nice, well they look better than the PC version, and are much better than I expected. Their not exactly 100% smooth but they don't strain the eyes whilst playing. As for the sound, hmm... I don't really know what to say, the music is quite nice, and the sound effects are quite cool, but the quality seems poor. I don't know if it was something that messed up with my copy, but the sound isn't at the level I would expect, you can hear scratches in the background. I doubt this is part of the effect so that´s why the sound rating isn't as high as it should be!

Moving onto the game play, I actually found it quite humorous and fun. After playing the PC version a few times I didn't really think it was that good, just an average platform game. I'm not trying to say that Earthworm Jim is anything special, but it can be quite fun, compared to other platform games. Throughout the action, you play as the hero himself, 'Mr. Earthworm Jim', a super worm in a space suit, equipped with his own head, which he uses as a weapon, in fact a whip! It's quite effective and funny to see it in use. He also has a laser hand gun to shoot at predators, which include crazed dogs and hungry crows.

After a while of playing, the game can slowly start to get boring, like in my opinion, all platform games do, jumping from stage to stage blasting enemies. Until one comes out with a unique touch, platform games will probably be my least favored genre. However Earthworm Jim is still worth trying

There is a cheat code, where it refer to one of the developers. The picture of the face is digitalized.
