Transbot is a nice space shooter game from the mid 80's, when the most you could expect from a console was 2D games, 8bit colours and sound quality to match.

With Transbot you as the player control a robotic ship, which journeys through space destroying everything in its path. Along the way you can shoot down cargo ships to get limited select weapons (some really nice, some pretty useless). Your ship changes shape according to weapon in use.

The graphics in Transbot are really simple, you have a classical 8bit background, along with a standard sound track of midi quality. The sound effects take place through out, the sounds of shooting and crashes as you attempt to shoot down the enemy life forms ahead of you, before they get you first!

Up top of the screen is the display of your current weapon in use, along with your power level, and how much ammo you have left in use with the current weapon. Overall Transbot is a really simple but really fun game. I still have my original boxed version of Transbot in my room somewhere, and playing this really brought back some good memories for me!
