Company description

Description
Mr Chip Software was established in February 1982. Originally they developed and published games and utilities for the Commodore VIC 20 and C64. They ceased publishing games in 1984 and began developing eight bit titles for Mastertronic and then later for Alternative Software and Gremlin Graphics.

With their move up to 16 bit software for the Commodore Amiga and Atari ST they changed our name and status to Magnetic Fields (Software Design) Ltd. In the next five years they gained a reputation for designing and developing a range of highly playable and successful Motor Racing Games for the Amiga and Atari ST published by Gremlin Graphics, the most notable being the Lotus series. Their last titles for the Amiga were Crystal Dragon, published by Black Legend, and Kid Chaos, published by Ocean Software.

Following our move to the PC they began development on Network Q RAC Rally Championship for Europress Software in November 1995. The project was completed in ten months with a team of two programmers and two graphic artists. They repeated this development time with their last title, International Rally Championship. They have now expanded the team to four programmers and ten graphic artists for their next release; Rally Championship that utilises the latest advances in PC technology.
