Brøderbund was founded by Doug and Gary Carlston in 1980. Brøderbund was a publisher and developer. Brøderbund is the company behind some great games such as "Stunts", the first "Prince of Peria" games and they also published Maxis' SimCity in 1990. In 1998 Brøderbund merged with The Learning Company and in 2002 Riverdeep Interactive Learning aquired Brøderbund I think this was the end of Brøderbund because there are no recent games on the market with the Brøderbund lable.
