Concerning screenshots, all roms should have screenshots by now. We are still working on a few pc titles. Right now only 0.32% of our gamepages don't feature screenshots so we are making progress right .

Especially a lot of new covers and screenshots have been added all over the site because we had a lot of games without real content (except the download which is also important). Currently only 1.6% of the gamepages don't feature any screenshots; we are currently working out this issue to make this zero percent within a couple of months.

It should still be considered experimental. We're not sure if we'll keep our own server, create a channel on a public, free IRC network, or even close down the chat again. It depends on how popular the service is, and how much it gets abused.

The new system should function completely the same way as the old one - that is, clicking a download link should download the file, hehe  - so the change should be invisible to pretty much everyone.

I've tested everything thoroughly, but it is of course possible that a sneaky little bug managed to slip through. If you get any errors related to the downloads, please do not hesitate to contact us either by mail, on-site message, or on the forums.

Actually, there's something I would like to mention: It's very important that you tell us about any problem you encounter. All bugs, no matter how small, are important to us. We absolutely love our site, and would like nothing more than for all of you to be happy CGN users 

So again, if you see a bug, please report it. It's only a small effort, and you help everyone by doing so

Unfortunately, all FTP logins and data have been lost when we had to switch servers. Any file uploaded will have to be uploaded again.

I'd also like to notice that you need to allow cookies on our site (session cookies at least) to be able to log in. It's now clearer which fields are required, and which aren't, and the page makes a fair attemt at automatically picking the right country for you.

I realise this isn't of much use to our current members, but rest assured. While we're only making small improvements for now, we'll get the big guns out soon enough *winkwink*

For those who use our RSS feeds, I've just fixed some small bugs. I noticed our feeds didn't work in firefox, and probably behaved rather bad in most other feed readers.
This has now been fixed, and we've got 100% valid RSS feeds as a result.

Update: All downloads with an ampersand (& sign) in their filename leaded to a blank page instead of the actual download. This has been fixed now.

Update #2: Application downloads don't start (error 2). We are working on it. (Posted 8/1/2009)

A) Our current system, with a 75mb base download limit, but unlimited download speeds. ( = current state of affairs)

or

B) An increase of the download limit to 100mb or more, download speeds capped at 300kbyte/second, but still unlimited speeds for premium.

This is just an idea I'm toying with. I haven't even discussed it with Res yet, but wanted to have the opinion of the crowd first

Update: Someone reported a bug in the password recovery pages. This has now been fixed.

We've gotten ourselves a shiny new server at a new datacenter, replacing our previous one which was lost when our hosting company went bankrupt.

Just a few days before our server was taken offline without any warnings, Res made a complete site and database backup, which I am now installing on our new server.

We should have a rock stable...

Update: Most downloads are back online.

Important: Premium accounts are now available again. If you've lost your premium status due to the downtime, or bought a premium account and it was never activated, message me and I'll fix it.
