first played this game on my good old Playstation approximately a thousand years ago. I was blown away. Great graphics, great atmosphere and so much unnecessary violence. Just the perfect game for a fifteen year old boy. Now, seven years later I discovered this gem here again. And nothing much has changed.

The game is divided into three parts, according to the three "Die Hard" movies. So, if you liked the movies, you'll probably remember the places. The first part "Die Hard" takes place at Nakatomi Plaza where you have to shoot evil gangsters. Here you can see the action from a third person perspective which makes aiming hard sometimes. But thumbs up for the atmosphere. This part is fun, but the second part "Die Harder" is even better.

Do you remember Segas "Virtua Cop"? This is it's evil twin. Much more blood, gore and violence. That's probably why the game was banned in Germany... Once again you have to shoot a multitude of villains, this time at the Dulles Airport, and of course you can enjoy the cool Bruce Willis quotes. All you have to do is aim and shoot, the computer does the moving for you. That may not sound challenging, but it is. And it's fun, forget about brain and intelligence, who needs them if you have enough firepower.

Part three "With a vengeance" is the weakest IMO, is like a poor GTA. You drive around in a car, complete missions and run over innocent pedestrians. In 3D. This may sound like fun, but honestly, GTA is much better. This little game is funny for exact ten minutes.

The graphics are o.k. for a game of this age and the sound effects are simply cool. Bruce Willis rocks... But I remember that the Playstation graphics used to be better, but maybe that's just my imagination.I should mention that I'm playing the game on a Windows XP Computer without problems, although the game refuses to recognize my 3D Hardware.

If you're looking for a simple "don't think - shoot!" game, this is perfect for you. This is a must-play for everyone who liked the "Die Hard" Movies. I may not be entertaining for hours, but especially the second part is always good for a little fun.

the review sounds a little biased though, comparing a game to a sandbox 3d iteration of GTAs that wasn't even concieved of yet isn't very fair, which is why i hate GTA heads, always comparing other games to it, without knowing exactly what they're talking about.

great game, i remember playing part 3 for hours, popping in my own music cd's on the psx during levels, just to have to replace the game disc before the end of each one. kind of like the original GTA's
