to get sound going you need to run NWSETUP in DosBox

I can't seem to get any sound whatsoever in the game. I've tried using the really informative guides on the site but nothing seems to work. Otherwise the games' running beautifully on XP. I have tried the obvious route of changing the sound settings in game but the sound control options seem to be unchangeable. I downloaded it off the site if anyone wants to know.

Also when I try to go into the setup files for the game it comes up with a message saying that there is no MIDI or digital audio on the Sound configuration tool on windows. I don't know if it's my lacking a particular driver setting that's the problem as when I try to change the settings to what I think is a MIDI compatible one there still isn't any in-game sound. Any help would be much appreciated! Great site by the way!

A little trick for dosbox users. When I first loaded this game in dosbox I found that after I saved a game and closed dosbox, when I came back to play again later my saved game was gone. If this happens to you try this: when you mount the drive in dosbox use "mount c c:\".
Dosbox will do this but it will give you a warning that it is not recommended. It's okay. I did some experimenting and found that this way my games saved properly and I was able to get sound too after using the sound setup utility in the game's directory. (I did a few other copy and paste operations to get the sound files to save correctly but I don't think that they were necessary after I figured out about mounting the actual C:\ drive to C in dosbox). Hope this helps someone.
