INTRODUCTION
Lamborghini: The American Challenge is probably Titus's best sprite racer they made. It revolves around racing your lamborghini in illegal street races with wagers. As you win races you get the chance to upgrade your car with various add - ons such as radar jammers, 5 gear transmission, engine tune ups and such.

GAMEPLAY
You get some cash to start out with and a new lamborghini. Your goal is to put your money (and car) on the line and race against other racers. Before you race, though, if there are any people you know directly, then you will have a personal wager between you and them. You all contribute to a sum of money and whoever wins takes it all. This is just an extra to the actual racing as the real money is won from the initial bet. You begin in last place and you must gain better positions as you go along. To slow you down, there are EXTREME amounts of traffic as well as your opponents, which take some great skill to miss when you are going 300km/h. One hit and you will slow down harshly, leaving you vulnerable to being overtaked. IF this wasnt enough, policle also exist in some tracks, although having a radar jammer prevents them from chasing you sometimes. This will probably make you rip out your hair in frustration as traffic are extremely difficult to miss will taking a turn at high speed and the police are very persistent.

Also, you recieve damage if you hit a roadside object or another car. As damage builds up, you start to realise a hit in your top speed, and if your damage becomes full you must retire. Damage comes in bars and between races, it costs $100 for each bar of repair. Purchasing add - ons is one of the best parts of LAC. Between races, if you have the money to spare, you can purchase upgrades which either add to your top speed or help you out in certain conditions. When a race is completed, you can no longer race it again. The final goal of each division is to collect 50,000 dollars to buy 3 division passes. Each pass gives you a shot at a division race. Every 3 or 4 races, you get the oppurtunity to save your game, so you must be careful to win each race.

GRAPHICS
The road can be seen from any angle and there are plenty of hills. Other cars can be seen from a VERY far distance infront of you. This is very helpful when dodging traffic. Lamp posts and road signs are plentiful and their animation is decent enough. A reasonable complaint is that the cars are very repetitive. All traffic looks the same and it is pretty dull to see hundreds of the same vehivle go past you. There not even in a different colour. The same goes for your opponents.

SOUND
Some music plays while in the menu but in game you wont be hearing much. Your car's engine makes a noise, you radar jammer bleeps if it found a police car, and your tyres screech as you turn and brake. For a '92 game, there isn't much to complain about.

VALUE
It's worth the download and the credit it will cost you for however long it will last.

To end my review, LAC is a respectable sprite racer but dont approach unless you are looking for a seriosu challenge.

Is there a manual or some instructions? I've lost my SNES' manual, and I forgot all those icons' meanings...
Besides that, it is a nostalgic one...
