Infogrames was founded in the year 1983 by Bruno Bonnell and Christophe Sapet. After a couple of years Infrogrames changed its logo to a tatoo and aquired several companies (ERE Informatique and Cobrasoft) this was the moment where Infogrames became the largest French game developer. In 1990 Infogrames started producing games for Nintendo consoles. Later on Infogrames aquired several companies namely "Ocean Software", "Psygnosis", "Gremlin" and some other companies. In 2003 Infogrames changed its name to Atari. As you probably already noticed Atari consists of a lot of companies.

They changed its logo to an armdillo. One of their logos was a rainbow coloured armdillo through 1995 to 2000. Then they changed the logo with the armdillo streched, also with colours in the background, and then it goes with the banner with the company name in capitals.
